You will execute maintenance procedures in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company standards to ensure safe and reliable flights. Perform tasks necessary to comply with Federal Aviation Regulations and accept responsibility for work performed by yourself and/or others, signing off on approved forms. Maintain clean work areas; return tools and equipment to assigned locations; report inoperative or faulty equipment to the Maintenance Supervisor or Lead Mechanic. Repair and maintenance of aircraft with tools the employee owns, company-provided specialty tools, test equipment, and company manuals. In some cases, may be authorized to perform required inspection items and assist in Company training programs. Document repairs at the start of each repair or inspection; ensure parts descriptions and discrepancy notes are complete; determine if work is a Required Inspection Item. Verify that installed parts are approved for the aircraft/component and are free of damage/contamination. Keep hangar workshops and assigned areas orderly. Responsible for the Company’s Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and related outputs. Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor through the Lead Mechanic. Position Specifics Required Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification High school diploma or equivalent Valid, state-issued Driver's License Capable of using respirators and other PPE including eye and hearing protection Must possess or obtain a U.S. Passport or equivalent within 90 days of starting English proficiency (speak, read, and write) Authorization to work in the U.S. Preferred Previous experience with CRJs Additional Information Work Environment This role operates inside a climate-controlled building. Standard office equipment is routinely used. Physical Demands The physical demands described are representative of those required to perform the essential functions. The role is largely sedentary but may require standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 lbs, handling, and reaching. Security Clearance All employees are required to pass the fingerprint-based criminal history records check as part of the hiring process.
