Job Description: ARMStaffing is seeking experienced
Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurses (CVOR RNs) for high-paying travel and local contract opportunities across the U.S. CVOR RNs play a critical role in cardiac surgical teams, assisting with open-heart procedures and advanced cardiovascular interventions in state-of-the-art operating rooms. If you're a highly skilled OR nurse with a passion for cardiac care, this is the assignment for you.
Key Responsibilities: • Assist surgeons in high-acuity cardiovascular procedures including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and aortic aneurysm repair
• Prepare the operating room with appropriate instruments, sterile equipment, and supplies
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and surgical safety protocols
• Monitor patients intraoperatively, including vitals and cardiac function
• Collaborate with perfusionists, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs during complex cases
• Document all perioperative care and interventions in the hospital's EMR (e.g., EPIC, Cerner)
Qualifications: • Active RN license (compact or state-specific)
• Minimum 2 years of operating room nursing experience, with 1+ year in CVOR preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; CNOR certification a plus
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, procedures, and surgical instruments
• Ability to function effectively under pressure in high-stakes environments
